Special to The Palm Beach Post

After dominating the crucial third game, Parkland-Douglas' goal against Jupiter was simple: Finish the match without allowing a deciding fifth game.

The Warriors (19-9) jumped to an early lead and led through much of the fourth game before Douglas rallied and took the match with a 25-22, 23-25, 25-14, 25-23 win in a Class 6A regional quarterfinal Wednesday.

Kirsten Kuhl pounded down the game-winning point to send Douglas (17-6) into a regional semifinal Tuesday at Boca Raton.

"When we were down, we picked each other up," said Kuhl, who finished with 11 kills. "We were determined not to take them to five."

In another Class 6A regional quarterfinal, host Boca Raton swept Coral Springs 25-17, 25-15, 25-23.

Lindsey Knapp had 15 kills, nine service points and six digs and Julia Schade added 24 assists to lead the Bobcats (19-6). Melissa Green contributed 11 digs, six service points and four aces.
