Not impressed with coverage, why put up one team on the live scoreboard, and don't even post that score. Not what was expected, oh well, hope it gets better than this.

so tired of the same crap from tchs. lots of talent but no heart. this program still seem to be riding on the coat tail of the class of 2009-2010 season. were able to mustard 5 wins last year with a non-existent offense. now this year with a non-existent defense and non-existent offense will make for a long year. the game last night was an embarrassment to the players, coaches, parents, students and school. no excitement or heart. central came out last night and proved what they said. titian born titian dead. hope you get it together by Camden County because those big country boys from Georgia will win by 100.

The Newman game showed and exposed GDS. Without KT, GDS would lose every game this year. Newman exposed the D and when KT was not in the game GDS could not move the ball. Good start for Newman, and GDS is in trouble, because now teams will watch film and set up a game plan to shut down KT, shoot they could put 9 in the box and that's it. GDS better hope KT stays health or they will not make Playoffs this year. Village is right there, and I believe it will be JCS, and Village in that district for Playoffs. JCS hit the opener on stride, even if PK is down, looks like JCS executed great plays.

bigdawg61 commented on August 27, 2011 at 9:39 a.m.: report abuse

Newman runs a 3-5 defense they had plenty in the box and Taylor still rushed for 189 on 12 carries. If Pete wouldn't have taken him out he'd easily busted 300. The loss of Corey Garcia on defense is definitely hurting GDS

JCS dad commented on August 27, 2011 at 9:58 a.m.: report abuse

Don't buy the hype that GDS is down. Whether you like the style of play or not, the road to states will have to go through the running game of the Gators. Last night changes nothing about that. The king is still the king until someone changes that.

Wow aren't you the humble one now. Give me a break either you are a fake or just being a butt kisser. Your team is to proud to make a comment like that, and watch out for Village. They beat a good team last night, and they will compete with you and GDS.

Take the criticism commented on August 27, 2011 at 9:32 p.m.: report abuse

Wow pbgametime is horrible with their predictions. They predicted Forrest Hill to beat Spanish River and River won 68-6. Whoever makes these predictions should do their homework a little more because they are just terrible and have no idea what they're talking about. Another thing they had Suncoast ranked no. 12 in the county for preseason rankings and Wellington ranked no. 23 beat them 22-3. And How come Kings is ranked so low? Last year They beat cardinal newman and killed Glades Day and held Kelvin Taylor to 80 yards. This Year Kings is loaded with talent and seniors they've got a great RB in Brian Grove. And I know they're without QB Shane Bussey and LB Gage Batten from last year Who both transferred but they're still going to have a good year. You ranked them 21! Are you insane?!!! That's only 2 spots above Wellington who they blew out in the spring game and one spot below cardinal newman who they beat last year. And Glades Day is ranked no.6 who lost to cardinal newman last night, I guess you don't remember that kings academy as I mentioned earlier shut Glades day down. The final score to that game was 42-21. King's gets no respect and I think that sucks. But It just sucks in general how bad your rankings, predictions, and coverage of High school football is. I don't even go to King's and i'm this upset. Yea I'm being bashful but I just feel like you have a job; so do it right!!!

Must surprising to me friday nite was John I Leonard, Suncoast, and Royal Palm. Yes Royal Palm! For Suncoast to lose to Wellington mean Wellington is that good or Suncoast that bad. I still expect Royal palm to have a break out year , just thought they get it done against King. Time for John I to walk the walk. Dwyer did worst then I expected . I believe Dwyer better then the score board showed butt i think they want get a win until week three or four.

I think everyone knows who you are because of you're language skills. Please don't be mad at those River players who tried to help you. You are now at Lake Worth and, hopefully, you have a roof over your head. Just say thank you to the River players, and move on with your life. Hopefully, the Lake Worth players will take care of you as good as the River players did. God Bless.

River is most likely playoff bound.
Any offense against them will have to fight their hardest even for one inch.
Any defense against them will be amazed by the number of weapons they have, their speed, size, and depth.
River has a good bench too.
Their win was a total team win.
River is a highly talented team and they are as hungry and strong as a pack of wolves or better yet a pack of hungry SHARKS.
River has expanded its coaching staff, and they have great talent and size.
Sorry dognite.

former shark commented on August 29, 2011 at 2:18 p.m.: report abuse

@Spanish River

History Repeats itself guys. We won 1 game(john i leonard) in the reg. season after we beat Forest Hill 35-0(spring) in 09 with a bigger/better team and set records...You guys always get new coaches and come out with confidence. But no matter what, we will always be a losing fb program. you can quote me in november. Prove me wrong against a credible team.

minnownotshark commented on August 29, 2011 at 4:31 p.m.: report abuse

Former Shark, you are way off. The Sharks having nothing to prove to you. They just play the game and they play it well. So well that there is no comparison to what you called football in 09 and what the current Spanish River team is.

Spanish River's football program, its entire staff, players, support, booster club, band, cheerleaders, color guard, and more, are all WINNERS. So please take your WHINING somewhere else.

This River squad don't need to talk it up.
They walk the walk, one play at a time, full effort and after very extensive hard practices and preparation. It's only a game, there can be surprises, but generally a team like River now has is going places. These Boards mean nothing. But your trashing these kids, this staff, and the school, has no place here.

Maybe when you were there, everybody suckked. That was then. THINGS ARE DIFFERENT NOW.

sharkfromthepast commented on August 29, 2011 at 4:42 p.m.: report abuse

Hey former shark, whad u be smokin?
Pound for pound River squad today is as big or bigger than any high school football team in the country.
You must still be looking at your old tapes. hahaha
If you really were a former shark you should be man enuff to cheer them on a be proud, and support your former school.
instead u sound like uze in loozerville.
This nu River football is serious and will put the hurtin on any team, and they will adjust and do what necessary in each situation, each game.
I predict they will beat Dwyer. FH may not be the best team but only a few teams in the country are able to put up 68 points against any team in PB County.
and only give up 6points in 4 quarters, and after 3, River put in the second string

CANE MAN commented on August 29, 2011 at 5:31 p.m.: report abuse

@the truth, Newman would have got blown out if GDS coach would have left him or his back up in cause even he broke one on Newman. see you friday Newman lets go Canes!!

@Former Shark commented on August 30, 2011 at 3:45 p.m.: report abuse

What records? The running back's record? The '09 team had 2 playmakers. This year's team has several plus a blue chip receiver. NO COMPARISON! Plus River is now multi- cultural again and has and many , good African-American players on the the team. It's like a real team! The 09 team had 2 African-American players. Rive is a great place to play football and hopefully they are ready to turn the corner. When you compare 09 to this years squad, you are comparing apples to oranges!

RiverFootball4Life commented on August 30, 2011 at 7:59 p.m.: report abuse

Everybody better be ready to play River this year! We are a completely different team then we have been the past few years!! it's not even a good comparison!!

We are bigger, faster, stronger, and hungrier than we have ever been! The Sharks are back baby!! and we r looking for the Playoffs!

former shark commented on August 31, 2011 at 9:03 a.m.: report abuse

Like I said, come back when you play a credible team. Many teams have put 68 points(and over) on river in the past decade.

@insight commented on August 31, 2011 at 3:52 p.m.: report abuse

do you seriously think village will beat GDS?? I played there last year and we played them for our homecoming.... Thats right i said homecoming. GDS is the two-time defending state champs and remember that when your team plays them.

formersharksteaked commented on September 10, 2011 at 1:15 p.m.: report abuse
