Dwyer 45, West Boca Raton 3: Jacoby Brissett's 5 touchdowns power the Panthers

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw three touchdowns and ran for two more as Dwyer cruised past West Boca Raton 45-3 on Friday, ending the Panthers' consecutive shutout streak at three games.

"We knew they had a tough defense," Dwyer coach Jack Daniels said, "but we have so many weapons on offense, its hard to keep us down."

West Boca entered the contest allowing a stingy 166.9 yards per game — a number the Panthers eclipsed in the second quarter.

Dwyer (8-1) scored on its first five possessions — the last an 80-yard run by Brissett to put the Panthers up 31-0 — as both Brissett and tailback Matt Elam broke the 100-yard mark on the ground by halftime.

Brissett finished 11-of-19 passing for 181 yards with three touchdowns — one each to Robert Clark, Mike Ruiz and Nick O'Leary — and tallied 102 yards and two scores rushing.

Elam, who has committed to the University of Florida, finished with 134 yards rushing, including a 54-yard touchdown run.

While the Panthers top-ranked offense clicked, its defense also lived up to its No. 1 billing. West Boca (6-3) was held to 13 yards of total offense and one first down.

The Bulls avoided becoming Dwyer's fourth consecutive shutout victim in the fourth quarter when a 93-yard kick return by senior Eric Schaefer led to a 31-yard field goal by Mauro Bondi.
