Once again Newman shows a BIGGER team with dominating players what the word TEAM means.

Way to go boys.

The fact that Benjamin outscored Newman 14-7 in the second have of their game is starting to look better and better.

I kept trying to tell everyone in PBC that Newman was the real deal, but no one would listen. Well, they're listening now!

Congrats to Newman...Pine Crest is an excellent football team.

RIDGE FAN commented on October 3, 2010 at 11:18 a.m.: report abuse

Newman keeps rollin...Travis Rudolph + Brett Benes = Peyton + Marvin but any ways yall lookin sick rite now university should be a tough one good luck...also Xavier Swinton is in their too making some noise with big first down catches and once again a last second game ending pass breakup....Joe Finn, Shane Osborn, were BIG on defense as well

HighSchoolFanatic commented on October 4, 2010 at 2:02 p.m.: report abuse

Congrats to the Newman team on their 5-0 Record. Newman's football program will continue to expand and get attention. In Year 2, Walsh and Crew have made huge strides. Consistant Amazing plays by Osborne, Olsen, Finn, Rudolph, Campana and Swinton. Swinton is by far the most under-rated player. Rudolph's initial TD against PineCrest would not have been possible without Swinton's block and he's a definite game changer on Defense. Troy Campana is back and he's getting better and faster. Look out, Newman is still very young and very fresh. It only gets better from here.

I cannot give enough credit to the offensive and defensive lines of Cardinal Newman!!
Every week these guys go into the game knowing that they are going to be out-sized, and every week they rise to the challenge. The Newman linemen should be a inspiration to everyone that has been told they were not "Big Enough", or "Fast Enough" Way to go Gabby "Pitbull Assassin"! and the rest of the linemen
