Ed is a great kid and the best QB in the county. Wake Forest will be lucky to have him. We will be watching him next year starting as the Demon Deacons QB!

didn't sullivan get a "gray shirt " offer from Wake? if so doesn't that technically mean he isnt on the team and has to pay his own way?

I 'm not sure what a "gray shirt" is but my understanding is he was offered a full scholarship with no limitations or restrictions. As for bring it I thought last weekend Ed did bring it to Leal and Atlantic. As for Brissett for a 6'5' QB where is his arm? He throws 5 yard passes that Dwyers playmakers take it to the house. If it wasn't for YAC yards his numbers would be average at best.

I agree that Sullivan is better than Jacoby Brissett at this point. Brissett does have good arm strength, though. He is just running the system his coaches have installed and that seems to be working out OK.

Sullivan and Leal are the two most college-ready quarterbacks in the area. That is obvious. Whether one is better than the other is debatable. Sullivan won last week, but quarterbacks don't exactly play against each other. That's not a fully accurate measure. They have played similar schedules this year and Leal has more completions, more yards and more touchdowns in fewer attempts than Sullivan. I would give Leal the nod at this point, but not by much.

Leal vrs Sullivan Sullivan has a better record in close games. Leals numbers are at garbage time. Leal has spit the bit against Ridge and Boca. I give the Moneyball to ED.

This comparison is ridiculous. Both of these kids are outstanding and will do well at the next level. Sullivan has a better program and Leal has better players. They have both thrived with what they have.

Wow!! You must not watch Dwyer play much. Their vertical passing game is alive and well. Players like Nick O'Leary, Rob Clark and Mike Ruiz have frequently caught long passes for TD's.
I disagree that Eddie is better than Brissett. I'm going to tell you right now that Jacoby has offers from schools much better than Wake Forest. Boston College, FSU, Notre Dame, Florida, and Wisconsin are all interested in his services. Oh yeah, he is a junior. I'll take Jacoby over him right now.

Leal is pretty good, but can't seem to lead his team to the big win.

I've seen Dwyer play a lot this year and in the games I've seen against quality opponents, Brissett probably benefits more from yards after the catch than most quarterbacks. But you're right, he has hit on some long ones.

As far as taking Brissett over Sullivan today, agree to disagree. Brissett has the potential to be better as a senior, but in my evaluation of the two, Sullivan is more polished right now. Brissett does have a lot of big offers and he deserves them, but that is predicated more on potential than anything else.

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying Brissett is bad at all. He's very good. I would just rank him behind Sullivan right now and I have heard other people whose opinions I trust say the same thing.

let's also remember that this is the third offense in three years for Sullivan. he ran a veer at Park Vista, a spread last year, and Byars' pro style offense was installed this summer at Boca. Byars said before the season that we aren't going to throw as much this year and we haven't. it has taken awhile for this offense to gel but they seem to be coming together in the past couple games.

as far as receivers go between Boca and Atlantic, the top 4 for Boca average 19 yards/reception and Atlantic's top 4 average 17 so the receiving talent is certainly comparable. Atlantic's receivers get more hype because of Louis going to OSU but I'll take our guys.

all these kids are talented and the proof will be at the next level.

That is a very good point about the three different offenses and coaches in three seasons. That's tough on any player.

Although he did choose that. He could have had one offense and one coach for four seasons if he had chosen that route. Either way, he has done a good job adjusting year-to-year.

Im not saying that the QB from santaluces is the best in the county but if you go to the games you will notice that our QB is pretty much on point with every pass.
the reason his completion percentage is so bad is bc the recievers he throws to drops the ball. i play on the same offense as him and notice this alot that the recievers drop good deep and short balls.

NEED SOME HANDS!!! PUT KEEM N JERK OUT TO CATCH

I think Santaluces has led the area in talking this year. If all I read was comments on our website, I would think Santaluces is more talented than Glades Central.

By the way, none of the area's HS quarterbacks are "pretty much on point with every pass." Even the good ones are inconsistent at this age.

Yea ummmm Ive see alex play and I know alex, he is a REMARKABLE kid who I would love on my team wether he was the starting QB or the scout team QB...BUT as a 6'2 200lb junior QB he has the arm strength of a 5'6 8th grade girls basketball player. and is slow as a snail....sorry to be mean JUST THE FACTS, sorry coach side but you know its true...most recruited QB means he will be recruited by SEC schools, do you really think alex prakas is LSU, UF, UT, BAMA material? get real...MAYBE fau at BEST....for the record this in not a "shot" at alex, he is a great kid, but lets get serious
